New Delhi: Along with the Aadhaar Card, one of the most important documents for any Indian resident is the Card PAN, which is accepted as a useful document in many places. The PAN is especially important for salaried employees because they need to file an Income Tax Return (ITR) file.

When creating a bank account or demat account, the administrator will also want a valid pane or a copy. Banks, on the other hand, need a pan when an individual deposits more than Rs 50,000 in a single transaction into a bank account.

It is also necessary because the government is keeping track of the financial transactions of the residents who use the PAN card. However, it is not always possible to supply the physical card. This is when the e-pane can be accessed, reducing the risk of losing the card.

The process for getting your e-pane card online is straightforward. Here is a step-by-step process:

Step 1- Visit to access the portal.

Step 2- Click ‘Apply for Pane’ and fill out the form.

Step 3- Enter Captcha and click on ‘Send’ button.

Step 4- You will have the opportunity to review the details. After you have verified your identity, click the ‘Generate OTP’ button.

Step 5- Enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile phone.

Step 6-Select ‘Facility Download e-PAN Payment.’

Step 7- Choose a payment type and pay the Rs 9 you need.

Step 8- After you have made your payment, click the ‘Continue’ button.

Step 9- Download the PAN card payment certificate online now.

Step 10- Finally, your e-PAN card will automatically download to your mobile or PC.

The PDF of the downloaded e-PAN card will be password protected. To access it, the user must enter their date of birth, which acts as a password.
