THIS Chinese app is title sponsor of historic Pakistan vs Australia Test series | Cricket News

Popular media and TikTok short video application from China has been legal in India for more than a year now. But Pakistan’s neighbors do not have such cases in their country. In fact, the Pakistan vs Australia Test series, which will start on March 4, has TikTok as their first sponsor as announced on Friday (February 25).

TikTok was banned in India on May 29, 2020, on national security issues. It is among the 100-plus mobile devices, most of them from China which have been legalized by India. It has been more than a year since the ban, and the app is the only source of revenue for many.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that TikTok, the end of the journey for short form videos, will be the title sponsor of the History Test series between Pakistan and Australia, which starts in Rawalpindi next week.

This is the first time a digital sports platform has sponsored a double series in Pakistan and represents an exciting step for both TikTok and PCB, bringing in a new type of partner for international cricket in the country. As a title sponsor, TikTok will provide a place where cricket fans can follow their favorite cricket content creators, share the best TikTok cricket content, and create their own special moments, reactions and celebrations around this series with Australia.

Along with the partnership, PCB will launch an official TikTok account ahead of the series with a mission to encourage and entertain millions of cricket fans not only in Pakistan but also around the world with behind-the-scenes exclusive content as well as current and image archive.

“We have already established an excellent relationship with TikTok, starting with HBL Pakistan Super League 2022. Given that relationship, we are delighted to further contribute to Pakistan’s history and the Australian Test series, which will be possible for the year, ”said PCB Executive Director Faisal Hasnain.

“This agreement with TikTok is a further indication of the current good health of Pakistan Cricket and reflects the value and benefits of the business partners seen by pairing themselves with our brand,” he added.

The three-match series will take place in Rawalpindi (4-8 March), Karachi (12-16 March) and Lahore (21-25 March).
