Calvin Ramsay says models such as youngsters Trent Alexander-Arnold and Harvey Elliott grew up in Liverpool urging him to join them from Aberdeen for an initial fee of 2 4.2 million ($ 5.1 million) on Sunday. Ramsay was awarded the Young Player of the Year by the Scottish Football Writers’ Association after an amazing season.
He made 33 appearances for Aberdeen, winning a field goal and providing nine assists.
“I was just buzzing and it was a dream come true to be here,” the defender said.
“It was a dream come true to play for Aberdeen, and now to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest team in the world, a great achievement and I hope to try to prove what my fans are. . agreed.”
Ramsay is Liverpool’s third signing of the summer following Uru 64m Uruguay’s Darwin Nunez from Benfica and £ 5m Fulham ahead of Fabio Carvalho.
