New Delhi: To alleviate any problem, the public lender of the Bank of India (SBI) has advised account holders to connect their PAN to their Aadhaar card on March 31. Customers who fail to comply so you will not be able to access the shiny banking service.
“We advise our customers to connect their PAN with Aadhaar to minimize any hassle and to continue receiving the brilliant banking service,” SBI recently tweeted. Uncharted pans with Aadhaar by March 31, 2022 will be declared invalid, according to the lender.
Anyone can connect their pan to their Aadhaar card by following these simple steps:
- Visit the Tax Department website for registration.
- Select the Aadhaar Link section.
- Enter your pane, Aadhaar number, and name.
- When you click the ‘Aadhaar Link’ button, your Aadhaar pane link will end.
Following the completion of the certificates, the IT department will certify your name, date of birth, and gender to Aadhaar records. After that, the connection process will end.
Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the deadline for connecting the PAN with Aadhaar has increased exponentially. The current deadline is March 31, 2022. At this point, the Central Board of Taxes also said that if the PAN does not connect to Aadhaar by the deadline, it will become invalid.
More than 43.34 crore PAN has been linked to Aadhaar as of January 24, 2022, according to Pankaj Chaudhary, state minister for finance.
Meanwhile, SBI has extended the deadline for major FD concepts of senior citizens. The deadline to invest in SBI’s major WeCare deposit plan for senior citizens has been extended to September 30, 2022.
The program provides an interest rate of 0.8% higher than the general interest rate. For example, the interest rate on the five-year fixed interest rates is generally 5.50 per cent, effective on February 15, 2022. If an adult invests in a special machine, they will receive an interest rate 6.30 percent.
