Partner Patient On Air, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan Steps In With Stethoscope -by Ecork

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan approached the IPS officer after he complained of anxiety.

Amaravati:

Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan recorded his services as a doctor and saved the life of IPS Director General of Police on an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Hyderabad.

Kripanand Tripathi Ujela, a team leader in 1994, was being treated at a hospital in Hyderabad after testing positive for dengue fever.

“Madam Governor saved my life. She helped me as a mother. Otherwise, I could not go to the hospital,” Ujela told PTI over phone from Hyderabad on Saturday.

Mr. Ujela, who belongs to Andhra Pradesh cadre, is currently posted as Additional DGP (Road Safety).

The governor, who is a doctor by profession, approached the IPS officer after he complained of discomfort during a flight to the Telangana capital on Friday midnight.

“My heart rate at that time was only 39 when Madam Governor measured it. She encouraged me to press forward and helped me to relax, which stopped my breathing,” said Ujela.

When he arrived in Hyderabad, he went straight to the hospital where many tests were done on him.

He was diagnosed with dengue and his platelet count dropped to 14,000.

“If Madam Gomina wasn’t in that plane, I couldn’t have done it. She gave me a new life,” Ujela said, expressing her gratitude to Soundararajan.
