A 50-year-old woman from the Fateh Kadal area of Srinagar made a silk carpet with the veil of her idol and famous Bollywood actor Salman Khan, she wanted to show her art to “Bhaijaan”. Mohammad Hussain took six months to make a 900mm x 750mm artwork, which contained 576 threads per square inch, in pure silk and painted the artist on both sides. “Since there was not much work during the lockout, I decided to pay my taxes to Bhaijaan. With my savings, I created this project and I want to give it a gift, ”Hussaini told PTI. Asked about the cost of building a flexible wall, Hussain said one cannot afford to invest in such things. “I did this because I wanted to. He cannot afford them, ”he said.
Hussain said he used 10 natural colors to make silk cotton for the hair lines. “It takes a lot of time… from the perfect combination of colors to have the right tone and shade to get the right shape at the end of the weaving process.” “This item has 576 square feet per square inch which gives a definite definition,” Hussain explained.
He wants to gift this carpet hanging wallpaper to the actors and hope that the Bollywood star takes it.
