IPL 2022 Qualifier 1 GT vs RR: Rajasthan Royals For Special Weather and Weather Update Before Match -by Ecork

Kolkata Weather Update: Screenshots from a video shared by Rajasthan Royals

With at least 6 hours to board for the IPL 2022 Qualifier 1 between the Gujarat Titans and the Rajasthan Royals, the weather and weather updates from Kolkata are a terrible thing. The Rajasthan Royals cut a video from their team hotel of the rain. Kolkata sky looks gray with dark clouds in the video and of course it is not big news for cricket fans in the country.

According to the AccuWeather website, thunderstorms are expected around noon today. But as the days go by, we expect the weather to be shorter. The website, however, also said that around 8pm (IST), it is expected to be cloudy with thunderstorms.

If the rain gods play spoilsport and there is no game possible during the process, then Super Over can decide the fate of both teams.

If in the event that Super Over is no longer possible, the league standings will take precedence and the winner will be decided, the PTI news agency cites a short IPL report reported on Monday.

“The number of overs in the finals could, if necessary, decrease so that each team has a chance to compete for the top five,” PTI reported quoting IPL guidelines.

“For the User and individual Qualifier tournaments, in the event that it is not possible to set up five matches to end the extra time at the original date, the teams will, if conditions allow, make a Super Finish to determine the winner of the appropriate Elimination or Qualifier match. ” If Super Over is not possible “the team that finished highest in the league table after 70 games of the regular season will be announced the winner of the appropriate match or final,” he added.

While Qualifier 1 and Eliminator are set to take place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Qualifier 2 and the final are set to take place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
