India vs SL 2022: Ishan Kishan HOSPITALISED after being struck on head by bouncer during 2nd T20I | Cricket News

During the second T20I against Sri Lanka on Saturday, Indian batter Ishan Kishan suffered a head injury and was rushed to a hospital in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. The Indian start was hit in the head by a 146 kmph bouncer bout by Sri Lanka pacer Lahiru Kumara.

The incident occurred in the fourth on Indian innings when a delivery pacy hit Kishan on his helmet while the batter was trying to pull the trigger. However, 23-year-old Kishan continued playing despite the physio consulting against him but lost his wicket soon and then walked back to the pafilion after scoring 16 in 15 balls.

It remains to be seen whether Ishan Kishan’s injury is serious and whether he will be available for the third T20I scheduled to take place on Sunday (February 27).

Meanwhile, apart from Kishan, Sri Lankan batter Dinesh Chandimal was also taken to hospital after suffering a toe injury while living in the second T20I.

“I have been in contact with the Indian team and I have information that an Indian player, with a head injury, has been brought to the hospital. His CT scan was performed and he is under observation.” Dr. Shubham said.

“A Sri Lankan player has also been admitted to hospital, after sustaining a thumb injury in the second T20I. We are taking care of everything now,” he said. he added.

Coming to the second T20I, Shreyas Iyer broke 50 yards before Ravindra Jadeja killed 45 in 18 balls to help India defeat Sri Lanka in the second T20I by seven wickets on Saturday.

With this victory, India also sealed a two-match T20I series (2-0) with one game to go. The third T20I between the two teams will be played on Sunday.

Pursuing 184, India got off to a bad start as the team lost skipper Rohit Sharma in the first over. Dushmantha Chameera removes Rohit as the batter throws the ball to the stumps.

Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer became a 35th position but Lahiru Kumara eliminated Kishan in the sixth round. Shreyas and Sanju Samson then moved their innings to the room just in time to approach the venue.
