India’s dream of 82 runs against South Africa in the fourth T20I in Rajkot on Friday may give the impression that it was a walk in the park for the Rishabh Pant-led troops, but it was not. India first struggled with the bat, until Dinesh Karthik (55, 27b) and Hardik Pandya (46, 31b) became theirs to lead the team to 169/6 in 20 overs. The latter came deep in the seventh over with the Indian three-down, and played with responsibility before going bonkers in the final five overs. For Pandya, the project is a continuation of a positive form that dates back to the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL), where he guided the Gujarat Titans to the title.

After the victory, Pandya revealed a lesson from MS Dhoni who transformed as a cricketer.

“For me nothing really changed because I made the position, I made a mark on my chest. The only thing I want to improve with time, is about how… shiny and how often I can do the same thing I did for the Gujarati Titans and even for India, ”Pandya told Dinesh Karthik in a video posted on BCCI . website.

“Earlier in the day, Mahi bhai taught me something. I asked you something very simple like ‘how do you get out of print and everything?’ And he gave me a very simple advice. It’s like, ‘Stop thinking about what your score is, start thinking what your team needs.’ That lesson has stuck to my heart and it has helped me become the artist I have become. Whatever situation I entered, I reviewed and played accordingly. ”

In the game, Karthik made a hit to remember before Avesh Khan gave his father a “perfect birthday present” with a fiery roar as India rolled in South Africa on Friday to make a 5-2 draw. Karthik scored his 50-year-old daughter near the age of 16 after the start of his T20 and alongside vice-captain Pandya led India to total combat.

For the second game in a row, South African batters faltered and fell to 87 for nine in 16.5 overs with retired skipper Temba Bavuma. Avesh (4/18) directed India’s brilliant show with football and recorded some of the best performance figures in the process. It is the smallest group in the T20 Internationals in India.
