Shreyas Iyer broke 50 yards before Ravindra Jadeja killed 45 in 18 balls to help India beat Sri Lanka in the second T20I by seven wickets on Saturday.

With this victory, India also sealed a two-match T20I series (2-0) with one game to go. The third T20I between the two teams will be played on Sunday.

Pursuing 184, India got off to a bad start as the team lost skipper Rohit Sharma in the first over. Dushmantha Chameera removes Rohit when the batter throws the ball to the stumps. Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer helped the 35-yard stand but Lahiru Kumara won the batter in the sixth round.

Shreyas and Sanju Samson then put innings and speed just in time to close the gap.Samson came out on the 13th as Binura Fernando won a handball to reduce India to 128/3. However, Jadeja and Shreyas Iyer (74) took India home with a comfortable victory over Sri Lanka in the second T20I.

Jadeja and Shreyas became the most important 58-run standings in 25 games.

Previously, put into the bat first, Sri Lanka got off to a good start as the team scored 32 runs after finishing the game power.

Sri Lanka was 102/4 in the 15th on but Pathum Nissanka and skipper Dasun Shanaka did some love deeds and took Sri Lanka on a 150-run mark in the 19th round. Sri Lanka won 183 games in 20 overs divided as Shanaka broke the last two balls for six to complete the innings on a high.
