Although Ryan Reynolds may seem like one of the most courageous people in Hollywood, a person who everyone else is very different from an anxious person on the inside, the actor said.
According to People magazine, the 45-year-old actor has suffered from severe anxiety since childhood, Reynolds said on ‘CBS Sunday Mornings’.
“I’ve been very anxious all my life. And you know, I feel like I have two aspects of my behavior, that one takes when that happens,” he said.
The outgoing Reynolds that a person sees on the screen is always a second change from the real self, Reynold explains.
“When I go out, like, Letterman, back in the day, I’m nervous. But I remember I would stay in the back before the curtain opened, and I would think to myself, ‘I’m going to die. … ‘ you have.
Reynolds added, “But as soon as the curtain opened, and this happened in my career too, it seemed like this little guy agreed. And it was like, ‘I got this. It’s good.’ I feel, like, my heart rate dropped, and my breath calmed down, and I just sort out and I’m this different person. And I put that interview away, ‘God, I would like to be that man! ‘ “
Reynolds had previously spoken publicly about his concerns in May and said his family had supported him to play in public.
“Part of it is that I have three daughters at home and part of my job as a parent is to model behaviors and model what seems to be stressful and model what seems to be stressful, or sorry. There is room for all these things, ”he said, according to People magazine.
