G7 “strongly condemns” North Korea’s continued ballistic missile tests -by Ecork

G7 foreign ministers on Saturday condemned North Korea’s ballistic missile tests and further development of its missile and nuclear capabilities.

“We strongly condemn the continued ballistic missile testing by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, including the launch of an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) that took place on March 24, 2022, which once again confirms the determination of the DPRK to continue developing its nuclear capabilities and In a joint statement after a meeting in the German city of Weissenhaus earlier today, the DPRK has also given up its moratorium on intercontinental ballistic missiles.

North Korea conducted its latest launch of an unidentified projectile on Thursday, marking its 16th missile test this year.

The previous launch took place on May 7, when Pyongyang did not officially announce the launch of the missile and did not explain the type of projectile.

The three-day meeting of the foreign ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States is being held in Germany from Saturday to Monday to discuss Russia’s military operation in Ukraine and other global issues.
