Don’t share Aadhaar, PAN details without valid reasons, CBIC cautions public of GST fraud | Personal Finance News

New Delhi: The Central Committee of Income Tax and Customs (CBIC), on Thursday (February 3), warned the public against the distribution of Aadhaar Card and PAN information without good reason or for financial gain.

The department also said the information could be misused by fraudsters for GST elimination. The agency notes that the information could be used to create fake companies in GST for tax deductions.

In a tweet, the Central Committee of Income Tax and Customs (CBIC) said Aadhaar and PAN information could be used for creating fake GST for tax deduction and therefore people should avoid sharing these for no apparent reason.

In recent years, Gross Tax and Gross Taxpayers (GST) have attacked many fake companies that used to produce fake bills without providing any freight.
