Domestic coal production reached 33.94 million tons in the first half of May, a growth of 36.23 per cent on production of 24.91 million tons during the same period last year.
The total supply of charcoal by May 15, 2022 is 37.18 million tons, posting an increase of 15.87 per cent during the corresponding period last year.
For the month of April, total coal deliveries were 71.77 million tons, recording a growth of 9.39 percent on an annual basis, Coal Company data said.
Total crude oil production in the country increased to 67 million tons in April 2022 registering an impressive growth of 29.80 per cent, the company said in a statement.
Coal India Limited (CIL) played a key role in boosting production and recorded a record high monthly production of 53.47 million tons in April, jumping 27.64 per cent year-on-year.
As of May 15, CIL production remained at 26.35 million tons, an increase of 34.44 per cent on production of 19.60 million tons during the same period last year.
