Looks like cinemas are back and forth. Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi has managed to fetch Rs 39.12 crore within 3 days of its release, Bollywood business analyst Taran Adarsh reported. The film released in theaters on Friday, grossing Rs 10.50 crore on its opening day. The next day, it witnessed a growth and earned Rs 13.32 crore. On Sunday alone, the film grossed Rs 15.30 crore. In his box office report, Taran Adarsh said, “Gangubai Kathiawadi Brings happiness, confidence and cinegoers back, solid total at Wknd 1 … Day 3 finds big opportunity (most places) … Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Gujarat, Delhi, South India [parts] key assistants … Friday 10.50 cr, Sat 13.32 cr, Sun 15.30 cr. Total: Rs 39.12 cr. India biz. “

Besides Alia Bhatt, the film also stars Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz and Shantanu Maheshwari in important roles. The film was also shown at the Berlin Film Fest.
Saibal Chatterjee, a film critic, in his review for NDTV, gave the film 3.5 out of 5 stars and wrote: that creates an environment in which even though we have a sense of belonging that draws us in and allows us to believe the story. “
