Actor Akshay Kumar, one of the highest paid stars in Bollywood, has reportedly been honored by the Income Tax Department as the ‘highest tax payer’ in the country again.
A certificate of honor for Akshay Kumar from the Income Tax Department is doing rounds on the internet.
A social media user tweeted, “Like the haters, she’s not a world famous, she doesn’t have HGOTY, she’s not much BB, she’s Canadian and many more things but still she pays tax it is higher than the rest of the company from. last 5 years My superstar.”
Another wrote, “Income Tax Department has honored Superstar @akshaykumar with a Samman Patra and he is the highest earner from the Hindi film industry. Haters must see this before calling it in Canada.” .”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay will be seen sharing screen space with Bhumi Pednekar in ‘Raksha Bandhan’, which is scheduled to release on August 11. Directed by Aanand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon, the film has produced. by Yellow Yellow Productions, Zee Studios, Alka Hiranandani in association with Cape Of Good Films. The shooting of the film was completed in Delhi in October last year.
Akshay is also a part of ‘Selfiee’, which will release on March 24, 2023. The upcoming comedy will also have Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha in important roles.
‘Selfiee’ is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film ‘Driving Licence’, which stars Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramodu in the lead roles. Now, Akshay and Emraan will be reprising their roles for the remake. Filmmaker Raj Mehta has come on board to helm the project. It was produced by the late Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, Supriya Menon, Karan Johar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Apoorva Mehta and Listin Stephen.
Akshay will also be seen opposite Radhika Madan in the Hindi remake of Suriya’s Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’. Apart from Akshay and Radhika, Paresh Rawal will reprise his role from the Tamil original. Director Sudha Kongara is also returning to the helm of this film. The shooting started in April. No release date has been announced yet.
