Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara dropped from Grade A to B in BCCI Central Contracts | Cricket News

Sidelined from the current India Test team, actors Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have dropped from Level A to B in new BCCI midfield contracts while all-rounder India Hardik Pandya has been reduced from Level A to C.

According to the PTI, senior wicketkeeper-batter India Wriddhiman Saha has also dropped from Level B to C in BCCI mid-term contracts after being axed from the Test team.

BCCI has four categories – A + with an annual turnover of Rs 7 crore while categories A, B and C are valued at Rs 5 crore, Rs 3 crore and Rs 1 crore respectively.

Accordingly, Pujara and Rahane, who are in Level A are now in Level B, after a slump in the form that saw them drop out of the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka.
